Clinical History 159
Forty-eight year old gentleman with severe mitral stenosis referred for mitral valve reparative surgery. He is on no current medications. A recent echocardiogram confirmed the presence of severe mitral stenosis, a dilated right ventricle with moderately severe systolic dysfunction, moderately severe tricuspid insufficiency and severe pulmonary hypertension.
