Nineteen year old gentleman with dialysis requiring end stage renal disease of unknown etiology who presented to the hospital with symptoms of shortness of breath and chest X-ray confirmation of pulmonary edema. His serum potassium at the time of admission was 6.8 meq/L. His serum calcium was 6.0 mg/dl.
